The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

I simply adore The Chronicles of Narnia! I just checked the movie site and found out that WETA workshop (the same special effects, costumes, etc. company that did the LOTR films) is handling all of the same stuff for this movie!!! They are also filming in New Zealand. I can't wait to see it! Go to the site and check out the trailer and behind the scenes stuff. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

okay... i went into this assuming it would be cheesy and stupid (like the musical we were in)... but that trailer is awesome! Very harry Potter-esque...

The books are incredible, btw. This movie will be very similar in many ways to LOTR and Harry Potter. I think Rowling took much of her stuff from LOTR and Narnia. I believe that they will actually do all of the Narnia books on film, too! I love it!

OOOOOO! King Kong actually looks good! I like that he took it back to the 30s! The last remake was a little cheezy, but this one looks pretty cool.

My only fear about TLW&W is that Disney will de-Christify it. C.S. Lewis wrote it as an allegorical tale of the life and power of Christ in the form of the character of the Lion (Aslan). I would be very disappointed if it that element were removed.

I don't think they could if they tried. Anyway, L,W, and the W has always been my favorite book. I don't usually get too worked up over movies, but I'm going to see this the night it comes out!!!! When does it come out?

December 9th, BABY!!! I can't wait. I have read these books thrice. First time was when I was around 8 years old, and I adored them! There is so much meaning and beauty, and the stories are just cool!
