Good deal, very symbolic. Have you been practicing enough to wail out a wicked solo while still hitting enough half notes to carry the melody of our coming jams? Sipper what about you are your finger tips calloused yet?
Practicing???? No, sir. Remember, I'm waiting until I get to Alabamer to get her strung.... So I don't mess anything up. Then I shall go forth and prosper.. but hopefully by this time next year I'll be able to do all the guitar solos at the end of "the end." (the beatles, not the doors)
I practice about 30 minutes every night. I can play several songs singing and strumming chords. Right now, I have "Danny's Song", "Amazing Grace", "Angel Band", and some other songs we do at our music night practice. I have been working on Roy Orbison's "Crying" (one of my faves) but still have a ways to go with that. Jamison, however, has a repertoire a mile long. The man has a binder full of songs and seems to know just about all of them!
I've also been working on R.O.'s crying. Nice song, I'm sure with you singing it will sound much better. I'll bring my stack of tunes and we can figure out some ditties.
Sounds cool! I'm still trying to figure out a little of the vocals at the beginning of "Crying", but I know the rest of it pretty well. My playing is pretty simplistic, btw. I pretty much just strum and sing. I am not advanced enough to pick yet. But, it seems to work ok.
If you set her on fire like Jimi Hendrix used to do with his, she'll earn her name. Kinda hard to resurrect a guitar from the ashes, though. Cool name. I guesss you have rejuvenated her, though. Phoenix works!
