Question for the Montgomery locals...

Hey guys! I was trying to think of some things that Matt and I could take Isaac to do while we are there and I came across Fort Toulouse. Is that something he might enjoy? And how's the zoo in Montgomery? We may try to do a family thing one day for a few hours so any suggestions would be welcome!!!

hanks grave, the crosses, open graves... kidding.
The zoo, I must say, is great. It may be small and montgomery may be a little bitty town, but the zoo is fun, even for adults.

There is a fin zone, it has a climbing wall (issac would love that), bumper cards, the big climbing gyms with balls in it, roller skating, video games, and they are pretty strict; no one is allowed in there with any NFL logos and things of that nature, keeping all gang symbols out...

We're only taking him to Hanks when Chucks kid is a bit older. Isaac can but the old Mullins charm on the gal and then we'd be family! High Tea and Hummus all around! :)

Haven't been there myself, but have been wanting to check out Discovery Village Playplace in Old Alabama Town. Free, educational, fun, from what I have read.

OOOH! That sounds like fun. Last time we came I wanted to do the Old Alabamer town thing... And the zoo is quite fun. Are the heffalumps there yet???

The Heffalump exhibit is going up VERY fast, but I'm not sure if it'll be done by then. I think it's going to be done by September, but not sure. However, the rest of the zoo is definitely worth seeing. We go all the time and never get tired of it!

The zoo will be VERY hot but....it's nice. I just can't handle it in the summer..and I'm a hot-weather girl. I guess because I love going SO much in the fall and spring. The heat oppresses the animals like it does us and the cooler temps make for much friskier animals.

The Discovery Land playpark is really good. You might want to check out the Riverfront Amphitheater. If you get lucky, the Splash Pad might be running (it's every 20 minutes on non-activity days but I'm not sure which days are classified as non-activity) but if it's running, it's LOTS of fun. Wet, FREE, fun!

Have fun!

Hey, cool! What's this splash-pad thing?

why has no one suggested the obvious...?
TAKE THEM TUNNELING!!!
The sewer pipes starting at the riverfront are readily accessable, and I am sure no homeless people live in them...

I kid, I joke, I jest...

Oh, man! I so want to go sewer-diving again! Jamison, get the spelunking gear! Off we go!
