I think it works for you. You are part of the select few of men who look good bald.

You should leave a little stubble. Don't go freaky like Billy Corgan, but a nice bit of stubble would look great on your head

I think you should shave it completely and buff it to a high, mirror shine. Seriously, shave it! It looks good!

but who knows what lurks under the hair... sickly-white skin? bumps?

Keep it until you have no other choice. The last time I saw you I thought your hair looked good. keep it. You could have a head full of ridges. Keep it. You don't have a horrific hair line and you're hair has nice color to it. Keep it. You're too young to shave your head. Keep it. Honestly I don't think you'd look bad bald I just don't think you should shave it.

I bet there's a scalp under there that, in ancient Egypt, would have been worshipped for its beauty! OK, that may be going a bit far, but I think you should just shave all your body hair and start into Olympic swimming! BTW, I shaved all my upper-body hair last night. I hated my chest hair and my armpits needed a trim, so now I look like one of those hairless model guys...Rachel loves it!

AHHHHAA!! I guess all the talk that you, me, and chuck did last night got you thinking! HA! We were sitting in sips living room comparing chest hair and armpit hair... i guess it got Josh to thinking...
I have alot of hair, but my friends josh and chuck convinced me that it was good hair, and in goos proportions, so ill keep it...

With the things we talked about and did last night, the cafe lives on to this day I guess...

LOL! Yeah, I just looked at Jamison's chest hair and thought, "Heck, I'll never have chest hair like that!" Mine's all patchy and light. So, I shaved it and all the rest of the hair on my upper body and it looks much better! "I'm too sexy for my chest hair, too sexy for my chest hair..."

ummm...i'm kinda on the fence... i think your hair still looks good, but i also think you can pull off the shaved head thing...also i agree with brew...mr.clean you are not. leave a bit of hair up there if you do bite the bullet. oh yeah, my friend from work says you look cute both ways!! watch out larissa!!! j/k!!!

Jamison I love you but I’ve never known you to be much of a shaver. I imagine you will shave your head everyday and have a full head of hair by 6pm that evening. I’ve always thought that a pretty bald head needs the support of a shorn face too. The goatee would be fine but the rest of your mug would, in my opinion, need more consistent up keep. You know what, shave your head! You should do it now while you still have the opportunity to grown it back.

thanks Jules...
I hate to admit this, but the place i go to get my haircut sucked me into buying some 3-step hair growth stuff... it is nothing more than shampoo, conditioner and some stuff i spray in it afterwards that turns my skin red... not sure if that is helping or not, but I suppose if I can hold on to what I have now, ill be happy... People who arent balding have no idea how it feels to be losing hair, they all say the same thing; "Just let it go! Youll look fine!"

bigsip said...

It's true. I have no idea what balding feels like. But, I've shaved my head before and I liked it. What is it about getting down to skin that is so sexy and fun? Of course, I knew when I shaved my head that it would all be back down to my ears in a month. Honestly, I think your hair looks great, Jamison. But, if you ever shave it, do the stubble thing lie Brew said. I was joking about the mirror shine. I've only seen that work for a few people, and with your propensity for growing facial hair, it would be helpful to have some stubblefield up top to help balance it out.

I dont htink it would grow back if i shaved, thats my fear...

i cant beleive we have over 10 comments about my head...

Your head is important to us all! Really, think about it. Consider it carefully, my friend. I think that once you do the deed and shave your head, there will be no going back. It is a seminal moment in your hair history.

mullinz8 said...

I think you can shave it and not look back. It will grow back. It’s all an urban legend that if you shave your head it won’t grow back. You may not realize how slow the hair on your head grows and it might seem like forever until it does grow back but it will. Try it, why not. I thought about dying mine a few months ago, royal blue would be a good color for me because it would set off my eyes. Your hair is very important to us. It’s something that defines you as a person and that is important to us.

Mullins is correct...I'm just not sure how shaving it will affect follicle growth or whatever. I'm certainly not a hair expert. Anyway, you gotta weigh the pros and cons. If you are consistently losing your hair, it'll never be the same if you shave it off because you'll still be losing it in the meantime. Maybe you should wait till you get to the point where you're seriously considering a comb-over, then shave it. I don't know, but it is something to think about before you take the step. I've seen you wwith it very short and stubbly before and I loved it. But, you gotta do it for you, my friend, in your own good time.

If you still have hair when you shave it, you will have hair when it grows back in. It won't just disappear where you already have it. Although it might not come back in where it is getting thin now. So you wouldn't lose anything you haven't already lost..

I haven't seen your hair in ages, so I make no comments on it. But a tight cut, with some stubble showing works well for heads like yours. I've seen it work really well with balding men as well.

This is especially true with a little face stubble such as you like as well. It gives you a gruff, sexy look all over.

Diana says I'm losing my hair, and when I gel it, it kind of looks like it. I'm also starting to go a little grey. I just thought I'd make the topic about me.

bigsip said...

Charlie, you should style your hair like Mark Twain again. You looked mighty dignified/certifiably insane with that do.

JS said...

Charlie;
I, too, have the grays around my ears... everyone who isnt going gray say they think it is "distinguished" but i cant help but think of the word "old".

And let your hair dry before gelling it, thats what I do. Going out with a wet looking head (if you are balding) makes you look balder (also, use less gel, get it all over your hands). Going out with a wet looking head when you are NOT balding gives you a plastic hair look.... and it makes us balding folks look bad
