chordie.com...

youll find pretty much any song there, and it shows you fingering for each chord AND you can change the key to suit your abilities...

I like Athena for some reason. What's it look like???

I'm suprised Rachel didn't suggest Ariel. I think you should give the guitar a sex change and name it Bob.

I just painted it dark purple and added some berry red swirl things..... every time I look at it I just want to dance and sing.... I'm leaning toward Athena too, Rach....

No sex changes for my guitar, Josh. The only thing in my house that goes through sex changes are the cats....

HAHA! Poor cats. Yeah, I was just kidding about the guitar sex change thing. Athena's a pretty good name, but a little militant for a musical instrument. Athena was a tough broad, not soft and supple like an acoustic guitar. She needs a name that's more artistic and poetic like Cassandra or Persephone or Minerva. Those are all good Latin/Greek names, too.

Hmmm, maybe Artemis. I've always wished my mom named me Artemis instead of Diana.

Of course I want the guitar to be a version of me... Athena was the goddess of wisdom as well. So you can say she will be tough and peaceful at the same time, like me.
Of course Artemis is a little softer....
I'll look around online.
I'm taking suggestions...

Artemis is cool! I like that one almost as much as Minerva.

Minerva happens to be Athena's Latin name, btw. Goddess of wisdom and war...patron goddess of Athens. The romans saw Minerva more on the wise side while it seems the Greeks saw her more like a warrior. Anyway, I like Artemis...very cool!

No guitar of mine will have a Latin name....those jerks invaded and stole our way of life.... That's why I wish I were Artemis instead of Diana... As far as Athena goes, I was always taught (and read) that the Greeks worshiped her as a wisdom goddess and a goddess of war, but not like Aries was, more like peaceful negotiations civilized warfare. But like many things with Ancient History, it depends on who you ask. I think there are like 20 seven wonders of the ancient world.

So true. The most amazing thing to me is that you find ancient manuscripts from many different civilizations, and very few of the manuscripts within the separate civilizations agree. Then there's the Bible of which there are literally thousands of manuscripts written over thousands of years apart, and they all agree!

I never thought about that before!

i personally hate the name Athena, because it is the name of a program our library uses here... now when i think of your guitar, i iwll think of work..yuck

Well we can't have ANY negative energy surronding my guitar, so Athena's out. For some reason I don't want Artemis.
It'll come to me.

How about Rosanna Rosanna Danna? Maybe Lambchop or Stella!

how about Dr Katz? Or better yet, George Ravenscroft, who invented lead crystal glass by adding lead oxide to Venetian glass.

Good one, Braly! How about naming her Albert Edison, the illegitimate daughter of Albert Einstein and Thomas Edison. I know, you're thinking it's impossible, but what if either of these guys built a time machine and one of them went to the future and was changed into a woman and then they met up and, well, you know...kinda freaky, but Bob's your uncle!
