Your daily affirmation

I just wanted to give all some sound advice as you begin your day in the working world.

Thanks, Mullins. We all serve a purpose. I have seen a few "Titanics" and "Edmund Fitzgeralds" along the way, too. It's usually because they set themselves up to be a sinking ship, though. Interesting to see so much self-fulfilling prophecy in the workplace.

Dang, man! Now, that's laid back...I was in here at 6:30 this morning...I was so early yesterday that I was the first one here and had to disarm the alarm! I wouldn't get in so early if my dogs didn't wake me up at 6:00 every morning, though.

eh, rookie.... i normally engage the alarm here on tuesdays and wednesdays... and when lighting is around, i am normally the first here to make sure the network is up for all these dont-know-how-to-use-a-floppy disk computer users...

haha...well, i am just glad to get here early and leave early. if Ace would just give me 30 more minutes of sleep, I'd be here when everyone else is! kinda nice to have the place yto myself early in the AM, though...

im like that too, thats why i make summer the busiest time of year for me: no one here to bother me.

I got in at 9:10 only 40 minutes late today but my average is around 8:55ish. Oh well at least I'm in before noon.

I absolutely hate these posters. Ok, this one is a joke, and i like that its from despair.com, but the real ones drive me nuts.

We have them up at work. The thoughts are so cheezy and stupid it just makes me annoyed and not want to be motivated.

yeah, i hate offices that have them up... i cant imagine whos idea it was to put them up in the first place... a simple poster of a cat hanging from a tree with the words "hang in there baby!" could keep me going all day!

LMAO!!! those "motivational posters" are up all over Anteon. Jamison sent out an email with the "hang in there baby" pic in it and i printed it out and have had it hanging on my cork-board ever since! your comment made me laugh, Jamison.

Some of us creative types should get together and make funny motivational posters. Like a "teamwork" poster with everyone waiting for some poor geek to sit on a whoopie cushion. Or the classic, people replaced with monkeys. Everone likes a good monkey joke.

monkeys are the easy go-to animal for a good laugh. But so are bull dogs.

someone asked me if I beleived in reincarnation. I said no because I just spent $5,000 of a reincarnation seminar. I figured you only live once...

Unless you're James Bond...

Then, you only live twice!

Jamison, that was funny! I hate those work posters too. I think we should make the fake posters too. I like a cat hanging from a noose, saying "hang in there because you've got bills, retiremnet, 401K, car payment, vacation, ebay... the list continues off the page with the text getting smaller and smaller.

bigsip said...

haha, i like how you incorporated eBay in there...

I've seen motivational posters like those, except they feature superheroes. That inspires me more than a waterfall.
