Blame Bush

Interesting article here about whether or not Bush can be blamed for the flooding in New Orleans.

Wow, that was two spam comments in about 30 seconds from when Iposted it.

honestly, if we want to play the blame game, you have to look at the mayor of NO and the gov of Louisiana... Ray-simething (mayor of NO), he waited until like Monday to issue an evacuation order, even though storm predictions as early as on Saturday showed that Katrina would be a killer storm for New Orleans. New York can have a 9-11 and eveything stay relativly under control afterwards, but 2 levees that were only rated for a cat 3 hurricane brerak and the mayor basically hides under his desk.

And her eis something that is kind of off the blame-bush topic... where is jesse jackson, and the 'Rev' Al sharpton? Why arent THEY going down there to discourage 'their people' from looting and raping and shooting and robbing and killing? Why are these men so two-faced? They claim to be trying to help the black man, but where are they now? Are they ashamed? If white folks were doing this, they would have a press conference going nuts (and would probably blame bush or something liek that, since it is so easy to do). These black 'leaders' should be ashamed of themselves. They've done nothing to further the black cause.

people want the federal govt out of their business, but when you let states take responcibility for theirselves, everyone blames big daddy for the problems.

Why are people even searching for ways that it could be Bush's fault when they could probably be rasing money, giving old clothes, money, or unused toothbrushes to the red cross to be shiped to people who are stranded and need it? If the world decided "YAY! It is Bush's fault!" Those people are still without homes, without warm meals, without clean blankets to sleep in at night, and are still seperate from their families... Help now, blame later.

FYI; if you live in montgomery, al, you can take your unwanted (yet wearable) clothes and other luxury items (like toothpaste or soap) to frazier methodist church. They have SOME people staying there, but also are taking shipments down south for aid.

If you read the link, they aren't really blaming Bush. I was just continuing a title.

It looks like Bush without a doubt wasn't giving New Orleans the funding they were requesting. However, the article also mentions that even if the funding was there and the construction had been completed, they were only rated for a level 3 hurricane.

So Bush can have some blame, but certainly not all.

Some folks will continue to blame Bush, or whatever president is in office for everything under the sun.

Just curious, why are you so quick to defend the man?

Who is to say those who are complaining and blaming, aren't also helping?

To really get your blood boiling read this.

I warn you though, it will piss you off Jamison.
