Amy passed all of her exams! It seems there was some discussion over the one she thought she failed but in the end they gave it to her. Ultimately they decided that though she did not answer the essay completely, she demonstrated she understood the subject matter well enough.
Hoorah!
Kiss your spouse, pet your dog, and drink a toast.
PS I'll soon be Mr. Dr. Amy Brewster!
PPS I hope this pushes naked pictures of Jamison down some.

2 prayers answered!
My pics go down a few notches and your wife WILL be a doctor!!!
that is awesome brew, i know you are extreemly pround of your good lovely wife! Im proud to even know her!
Hey! Should we all be looking at our local colleges for french professor openings?
I think you win the weekly prize of "good news of the week"... if there was such a prize within this blog.
Please look for french professor openings at any university. Technically she still has this year to finnish out with classes. So she won't really be looking until next year, but then she'll really be looking.
Passing her exams is awesome, however, she still has to write her dissertation. Her professors pretty much told her "congratulations, and get back to work!"
Ive been in communication with a teacher i know at AUM, ill re-email her within the coming months to get some contacts at the language depts. Ill make a friend at huntington. I work with a coach who played volleyball there.
We bought our house from a man who works in the language department at AUM. His wife is the French teacher at Montgomery Academy. We see them every once in a while, so I'll be sure to drop Amy's name with them.
That is sooo fabulous! What is she going to write her disseration about. I know that's probably one of the worst parts. One of my professors is still working on hers. It's about how VERY VERY important recess is.
Congrats, Brew! Pass on the congrats to Amy Beth for us. We'll keep our eyes and ears out for teaching jobs! She'll be writing a book, now. So, I'm guessing she'll be ultra-busy!
Awesome job Amy!!!
I get this burning pain in my left shoulder sometimes, can you tell me what it might be?
when she gets her doctorate, and we all get together in a public place, i REALLY hope someone starts having a fit or something and someone yells out "Is there a doctor in the house???"
Then I can say "Yeah, we got one over here!"
You dont hear that phrase enough anymore... "is there a doctor in the house."
I think i want to bring it back.
I think the phrase, "Is there a Doctor in the house?" has been replaced by the new question "Does anyone know CPR?" Of course, there's always the lesser-known "Does anybody know the Heimlich Manouver?" Nobody expects a Doctor to be around anymore I think. Must be because an office visit takes 1.5 hours and you only see the Doctor for 10 minutes. Thence, in public you only have a 10 minute window to ask the "Doctor" question while there are plenty of people who know CPR and the HM...
Jamison I think it will be great to see someone having a medical emergency, yelling "Is there a doctor in the house?" and then have Amy rush over to ask the guy where the bathroom is in French. It actually has a lot of comic potential.
I really don't think doctors admit to what they do because if they help someone they are then liable if something goes wrong. I know it sounds silly but I'm willing to bet $5 that the family of someone who died in the new Orleans Airport files suite against one of the triage docs because they gave a beloved family member a fatal dose of morphine instead of spending precious time and effort on someone who was bound to die and let other who had a chance to slip by.
Lawsuits, lawsuits, lawsuits....that's the problem with the medical system today. That's why the docs have such high malpractice insurance and have to charge an arm and a leg for medical service. Then you have your insurance rates going up as a result and so on and so on...pretty messed-up. I agree with you Mullins. There'll probably be tons of lawsusits against many folks who tried to help during the disaster. Craziness!
GO AMY!!!!! that's awesome
