Anyone up for a game of playing God?

Click here to read a cool news story on zombie dogs...

Good news I would imagine for loved ones who have been dead for a few hours... but what would happen to our souls? If we died, where would our souls be? And what if we were "revived" a few hours later...?

Good question about the soul and death. Hebrews 9:27 says, And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.
So, we die once. Could it be that death is defined as something different by God? by us? I saw that they called the procedure "suspended animation". I think that they are slowing down the organic processes of the animals to where it appears they are dead, when really they are just barely alive. Dogs also don't have souls, just a spirit of life. When we die, and I mean really die, our souls are gone and I don't believe that there is any coming back to normal after that. I believe that if this ever gets to human use, we will have people come back as vegetables, or come back because they weren't completely dead. How does the soul leave the body? I think God takes it like he took Enoch in the OT (see Gen 5:24). If God takes it, man can't put it back. The only reason people could come back is if God leaves the soul because the person isn't really dead or whatever other reason He deems right. Animals are another matter. They are soulless and therefore just live or die physically. Aren't we special?!?!?!

Could these docs be confusing death with a coma?
