March 12-20, last call and...

Why no one realized until now, me included, that there is no week of March 12-20 is beyond me. That’s eight days beginning Sunday rolling through Monday.

Anyway, March 11-19 Sat through following Sun should still work I guess.
RECONFIRM SCHEDULES, AGAIN!!!

The Mullins clan will most likely leave Thursday evening the 15th, and hang out until Sunday. If we can swing it we’ll try and tack on an extra day, who knows…

If you’re traveling you’re on your own to find a bed roll, I guess we all know that and mostly have it sorted out really.

Lets lock in this week once and for all over the weekend.

Sipper the picture is the fabled bus from the early Grateful Dead Acid Tests lore, it’s name is Further now you know its name and what it looks like, you’re almost a fan…

I took off 13-17. Tentatively we'll plan to head out the 15th or 16t. We may crash our heads in Maryville with family for the night and then head into Montvegas the next day. We'll see.

What's funny is I saw a documentary on PBS that Ken Kesey (i think that's thee name) did. He drove the bus all over and they all lived communally or something.

I don't remember much except that the bus was named "Furthur" and it's actually parked out in California somewhere now.

Old hippies hangin onto a past they can't remember, man. Fried eggs...

Them thar dates is cool, fellers.

It was Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters bus. They drove it cross country a couple of times.

Read the Electric Kool Aid Acid test for more.

On the top there people used to hang out and play music. The driver was the one and only Neal Cassidy.

Oh and the bus is now in Oregan, where Ken Kesey lived and died.

We've got room for a couple folks. BTW: the 20th is my B-day.

PARTY AT CHUCKS!

Mullins, you spelled "FURTHUR" incorrectly, btw.

Remember "FURTHUR DYES"?

NOTE: "Furthur" is not a real word.

but it is how you are supposed to spell it in that context...

Furthur was a misspelling on the iconic bus. Bunch of stoned out hippies couldn't spell so good, I guess. But it became such an icon, a whole subculture picked it up and kept the spelling. Furthur Festival, Furthur Dies.

If I remeber this I'll post it, but they area actually trying to ressurect the old bus. Pulling it ouf of Keseys swamp, and rebuilding it.
