A cute pic of Luke at Disney World...Just thought it was sweet...doesn't really relate, except he is pretty enchanting.
Just was noticing a void in the blog of late. I'm sure everyone is just busy, but I haven't seen much of Mullins or Brewster. I don't expect to see much of Charlie or Chuck, really. But, hey, what's going on with everyone?
I'll start:
1. Rachel's doing well and we should find out the gender of our forthcoming tot in a few weeks. Rachel has had some pregnancy sickness this time, but she's otherwise healthy and well.
2. Our yard is full of irises and daffodils. I hope the azaleas are in bloom while y'all are all here! I love spring time.
3. I've been somewhat frustrated lately. I hate waiting to hear from publishers and agents. They get your hopes up by showing interest in your work and then don't get back to you for 2-3 months! It's just wrong!
Well, I know it's not terribly exciting, but there's a smattering of life at the Sips'.
Y'all jump on here when you get a chance and tell everyone what's going on. At least tell us your plans for the trip down here! I can't wait!

Sorry, but the constant chatter about Disney kept me out of the convo.
That and I've been busy with work stuff.
Oh and hey I need a serious raise of hands who wants to go to the shakespeare show. I need to reserve tickets asap.
if you are going, L and I will tag along, we need to squeeze as many date nights in as possibel...how much do I owe you?
...and hook me up with some spelling lessons while you are at it...
It's 21.99 for section II seats, $36.99 for section I
It's at the Octagon theatre, so I see no reason to opt for the higher priced seats.
nor do I, put us down for two cheap seats...
Put us down for 2 cheapo seats too. Sorry about the excessive Disney stuff; I've got a whole separate blog for it now.
Hey, since its in the small theatre I don't think there is a need to get tickets together. In the big theatre I thought it would be cool to sit near each other just so no one gets lost and all that. But the round one is so small I don't see a need.
How about we all buy our tickets ourselves? Any problem with that?
I'm shooting for Friday night.
No for Stubbs. Thanks, though.
I would update you on our lives but I'm in a really bad mood right now, so I don't think you guys want to hear a bunch of complaining, now do you?
No problem on buying our own tix. Never been in the octagon myself- I'm looking forward to it!
"Sorry, but the constant chatter about Disney kept me out of the convo."
Complain away, Di. It's better than this Shakespeare stuff Brew has used to hijack my post.
Sip... play nice! Such is the nature of a blog... see, well, most of our blogs for reference.
But, to play along, Lairssa is preg, we got a new oven, there is still a big fat loom in my office at home that hasn't been used nary once, my back yard is full of weeds, my dad had surgery last night, our church signs are normal now, and I may skip work today, dunno. There is the Braly update...
Yes Brew, we will buy our own tickets... whats the show, date, and time?
OK, I'll be nice.
Sorry, Brew. We'll buy our tix for the Friday night show, too.
Now, give us your update Mat "Abdul" Brewster...
You brought up baby stuff...continue, please!
Anyone hip to what happened to Mullins? Been busy, Matt?
I know he must be living out there somewhere. Julianna has been about.
I'm curious about the old fellow's health and such as well.
Lay it on us, Mullins!
About the big fat loom thing... convince your wife to take, like 2 hours off of work, and I'll be there to show her how to use it!!! I'm sure she'd rather be weaving than working overtime.
Sorry about the loom, Jamison.
When and if y'all need to move it out, just let us know.
We'll probably wind up storing it upstairs for a time until Rachel can find the time to start weaving again.
Until then, hopefully Larissa can find some loom time. She could make some very nice baby things with it!
I feel a little less grouchy than last night. I was very tired last night, after a LONG week. Thankfully, this weekend will be busy but there will be some actual down time for me to collect my thoughts and spend time with my hubby.
What's new
1. Our play is a week away from opening night and our lead guy does not know his lines. He's ok for half of the play, and then the other half, he's clueless about where the scene is going. Everynight I walk on stage, I think to myself "I wonder what I'm going to half to make up on the spot to salvage this." Which is a minor panic attack each night. In theatre, there is supposed to be some kind of ad libbing if someone messes something up and mess-ups are expected. However, this is just ridiculous. I shouldn't have to carry the whole scene.
2. Work. I have been transfered to a much lower volume BBW. I'm really enjoying it for varios reasons, however, like I menioned before there are a lot of things that need to change. There needs to be an entire store makeover to get back to the correct visual standards of BBW, and the employees need a 'back to basics' training of what our business is like, what Total Customer Experience is, and there needs to be an influx of product knowledge. Oh, and people need to start showing up. So that's a bit stressful, as you can imagine.
3. Amazingly school is the least stressful thing, but that's probably because I'm getting by with the seat of my pants this semester. My grades are good, but I just keep forgetting things until the last minute. This is because our Profs. this semester have given us much more small assignments this semester. Last semster, we had a handful of really big projects that took a lot of work, so I remembered them. The next two weeks are especially stressful. Spring break is after that and after that, we start our kindergarten field placements. So they're cramming it all in.
And I miss my husband and my daddy and everyone else I love that I haven't seen in forever.
I'm looking forward to a. tomorrow night. I work 9-6, so when I get off, I'll actually get to see Charlie for a while and b. SPRING BREAK! The memory of your smiling faces (especially Luke's) is getting me through these rough couples of months.
Thanks for letting me complain! :)
Thanks!
I'm glad you did. Actually, there wasn't much complaining, just venting.
Feel free to vent/complain anytime.
It's gonna be awesome to see y'all, too!
That was odd. I posted that right after I read yours but they put it first. I guess we did it in the same minute...
Time zones are different, too.
I really wasn't trying to complain about the diney chatter, just giving reason why I hadn't added much to the convo. I'm not going.
The tickets are for twelfth night and I was shooting for Friday night. We should maybe plan our nice dinner then too. Or maybe that would take too long.
There really isn't much more to add about babies. Amy has been doing the baby chant for sometime now. I bought her a cat to slow the process down, but she's back to full howl now. Realistically we're getting older and the timing would be pretty good to have one next spring. Amy would finish her masters in TESOL, and could spare a few weeks to tend to the child before looking for work in the fall.
I know, man...
I'm the one who asked for plans about the trip down here. You were just trying to make some plans.
I'm looking forward to seeing y'all and catching some Shakespeare action!
I think that because y'all started the blog, it is in your time zone. For instance, I'm posting this at 10:54, but it will probably say 9:54.
I think that's kinda cool!
