Sorry I lied to you Di...

Dianna...
I lied to you when you asked me if Larissa was preggy... I was trying to keep it under wraps until we had our first official doctors visit...

Forgive me? Good call though, I dont know how you figured it out, women have strange ways about them...

Oh, Larissa is with child... Oct 16th is the due date... any advice?

Rejoice!

Hey, when you get an ultrasound pic, post it for all to see.

I haven't asked yet since I was trying to keep it on the dl, but are y'all gonna find out the gender?

For some reason, Rachel and I are thinking y'all will have a girl...

Have no idea why...

Jamison said...

Yeah, I reckon we will figure that one out... we both like the name Maggie for a girl... I told Larissa we should name it Cassie after the USA womens curling team 'skip'... she didnt care for it...

thanks for keeping it under wraps... except the fact that your wife told your dad... which is okay I suppose, he seems like a good secret keeper... unlike Peter Petigrew was (For you Harry potter book fans)

Rachel is really bad about slip-ups.

She honestly doesn't mean to. She felt really bad about that.

But, yeah, Dad is good at keeping secrets, like yours truly.

I'm so glad y'all are finally letting the proverbial cat out of the bag!

I have been semi-avoiding y'all for a little while lately because I wanted so bad to talk about the baby!

Now, after Sunday, we can let it fly!

Jamison said...

oh, Rachel, do not worry, we weren't upset... heck, I've told about 5 people before today, always saying "DONT TELL ANYONE YET!"

bigsip said...

LOL!

It's a hard thing to keep to yourself.

I'm nearly as excited about Larissa being pregnant as I am about Rachel being pregnant!

Our babies are only gonna be 2 months apart!

Oh, btw, give us the run-down on what all the doc said when you get a chance!

I KNEW IT!!!!

Some of the language you were using just sort of popped out at me. I guess it's the N of INFP coming out (intuitive). Hey, I even told Rachel about my suspicion and she played dumb. So yay her for being able to keep a secret from me.

Congratulations! I just called Charlie and told him and we are both very excited.

Yay! My friend Jamison is going to be a daddy!

Oh, and I forgive you!

We've only known for a couple of weeks. But, it's been really hard to stay tight-lipped all this time!

I'll be glad when it's common knowledge at church so we can be jubilant and dance; not that coCers would do that, but we'll do the Balkai Bartokamis happy dance or something.

Heehee, that was tough, Di! It's easier to keep a secret when confronted directly with it. When I slipped up with Kayo it was some offhand remark about how old our babies would be for Disney...

Diana said...

I've been punked.

Nah, I'm just joshin' (get it, just JOSHin' HAHAHAHAHA). I understand! I'm too happy to care!

Jamison said...

kewl, and good job rachel, you are a good secret keeper, like Sirius would have been... (im a geek, rereading book 3... do you think crookshanks was an Animagi like sirius, james, peter and lupin?)

bigsip said...

Edward the Crookshanks...

I really have to read these books, man!

I mean, I read everything LOTR...I should have no problem reading everything HP.

I'll get on it once they hit the PL (Public Library).

bigsip said...

Just watch, man!

One day, your little one will be reading the HP books!

I remember reading the Narnia and LOTR stuff. It's been something I can always share with my Mom.

Good stuff!

Jamison said...

Sip, it will take you about 4 days to read the first book, 4 days to read the second book, and maybe a week or two to read the ones that follow... (And you can barrow ours, again...) And you can share HP with mom too!

easy reads... they follow the spirit of the nancy drew/hardy boys novels... mystery, twists, turns, and lots of "Oh my gosh, i never expected that!" towards the end.

So who is taking me to Canada or some state/country I have never been to? I need to do it before the baby comes. Id love to squeeze some snow skiing in before the big day. Larissa wont ski, she cant fall anymore with the baby inside her! That was the only bad news when I found out. I had planned on heading back to Asheville for a long weekend of skiing at ski beech... oh well...

I say we take a big Euro vacation when our kids get big enough to appreciate it.

We'll drag their little butts to Paris and Rome and London...

Of course, we'll probably need to make stacks of cash to be able to afford it, but hey, I'm all for that!

Anyone have any ideas on how to make stacks of cash? Money trees, anyone?

What??!! Larissa is pregnant. I had no idea.

bigsip said...

Somehow, I don't believe you...hahaha!

How old is Will now? Bet he's getting to be a big boy!

Y'all in the market for another one any time soon?

Jamison said...

oh yeah, Ryan was one of the few I told... maybe I told more people than I thought now that I think about it...

Brewster said...

Congrats! That's awesome.

That just leaves me and Stubbs.

Jamison said...

I won't tell you to hurry up and have a kid...

I will say that I am more excited about it than I thought I would be, but I could go either way... I'm easy...

A little Brew shouldn't be too far off. The old biological clock is really ticking loudly in Amy's mind. I fully expect we'll start trying this summer.

Jamison said...

If reincarnation existed, I think I would find it interesting to come back as Brews child... I think that'd be a cool childhood... concerts, long hair being okay, and I couldnt make fun of my old man for wearing shorts with dark socks and dress shoes becasue he did it when he was young and hip; he hasnt changed!

bigsip said...

Whoa! Baby Brews...awesome!

Man, I can't wait for you to hear the heartbeat and watch your baby moving around in Larissa's womb.

It's all indescribable.

Then when the baby's born! Miraculous! There's no other word for it.

Ryan F. said...

Sip is right. It really is miraculous, and very emotional. Of course, you were pretty close to the action when Will was born. I was holding her leg back with one hand while she pushed, and talking to you on the phone with the other hand.

BTW, little Will turned 6 mo. on Sunday. Doc told us at his 6 mo. check up that he was in the 98 percentile for his height. Not sure where he gets that from?

bigsip said...

Too Tall Will, they call him...

I think Luke's like me; in the 28th percentile for height or something...

He'll be 2 on March 4th! Growth and development seem like miracles sometimes, too. It's pretty awesome.

Funny story, and if any of you know my dad, this will make you laugh. If you dont know my dad, youll laugh because youll say it sounds just like me...

I got mom and dad on the phone last night to give them the good news. They did the happy happ, joy joy stuff youd expect, then, my dad gets serious. He says:
"Jamie, let me offer you some fatherly advice that I offered your brother, but her turned down." Im thinking "Cool, fatherly wisdom. I could use this!"

He then says "Before the baby is born, go to the Cayman Islands." I ask why, beautiful there? He says "No, if you have your child there, he has duel citizenship and when this country goes to pot, he can just go to his homeland."

I told him that that was hilarious, and that I cant wait to tell my friends he said that. He siad "Please do! Tell them how your crazy dad wants his grandson (he assumes it is a boy) to be saved from the carnage of this nation!"

Classic my-dad...

bigsip said...

LOL!

Wow...your Dad is FUNNY. What's even funnier is I know he was serious as a heart attack.

I think I'd return to my homeland in the Cayman Islands, too. I've heard it is really nice there!

Just imagine, if you will, a few years down the road when we have our special gatherings.

Our kids will play together and we'll all look at each other and understand once more why we all love each other and why we're all friends.

This family stuff is a great thing!

Except for Diana, who will be in her 15th year of undergraduate study.
