The Midnight Cafe In Your In-Box.

Behold the miracles of modern life! Detailed observers will notice a new little box in the sidebar. It asks for your e-mail address, but do not coil in horror, for this is no nefarious, underworld request. There will be no spam, no pornographic insults, or luxurious requests at helping some third worldian rid themselves of the shackles of newfound wealth. No, this is a showing of the fantastical amazements of modern technology. When one enters ones electronic mailing address into the box one will then begin receiving the Midnight Café Discussion blog postings through that very electronic mail box.

So, by all mean, and if you please (or dare) enter in thine address and be admonished and encouraged by the farcical ravings of the Midnight Café in the privacy (or publicity) of where ever you care to receive such things.

Cool. I'm signed up.

Still praying for you, your family.

I often wonder why it is that certain things are made so plain and simple and yet it seems those very self same things are the most elusive to us as we grow older. Sometimes, I ask myself, what do I really believe?

Simple truth's often forgotten:

1. The greatest commandments upon which hang all the law and the prophets. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind (intellect = what we read, watch and hear, soul = worship, music, art, nature, emotions, strength = energy=time, mind = our private thought life). Love your neighbor as yourself. Who really does this?

2. God is Love.

3. We love Him because He first loved us. Why do we spend so much time trying to prove and improve our love for God without receiving God's love, we can not in turn give God's love. How do we receive it?

4. All life is to be directed toward God. It started by Him, given by Him and ended by the breach of a law given by Him, was salvaged by Him, it belongs to Him. He gives it over so freely in hopes of winning the trust that it's best back in His hands.

I end up making life about soo many things. Many great things. Often forgetting the connection they have to these simple truths.

Our world, Christians have become so informed, so knowledgable. So unlike the simple faith of a child that Christ calls us to.
