I heard a heartbeat today. Someone put this goo on my wife's stomach and then placed some stick with a telephone cord attached to it and it made this really fast heartbeat sound!

Mat Brewster said...

So, um, she's pregnant again?

And this is how you choose to tell me!

bigsip said...

OOOOOO, I love the goo and the weird vibratory thingy...um, i mean, uh...

Congrats on a healthy, fast HB.

I'd venture to say that's the most amazing sound you'll ever hear this side of heaven.

We couldn't be happier for you guys!

yeah, I've heard baby heartbeats before, but it was something different to hear it in person.

Good to see you Kellie... hope all is civil in north georgia... remind me to tell you that joke i mentioned on myspace... you can insert "north georgia" in it and itll fit just fine... tis a universal joke of sorts.

That's awesome, Jamison! It wasn't until Charlie and I heard the heartbeat that we started feeling better about this pregnancy. BTW, I'm 14 1/2 weeks now.

Oh, we got our Christmas card, Jamison! We loved it!! Thanks.

BTW, Jamison. I love the look and feel of the page. Might want to make your Zazzle page more obvious, though. It's sort of been relegated to the bottom of the page and might need a more prominent place. Just a thought.

JS said...

Thanks Sip, but I dont want people going to Zazzle to buy the cards. I want them buying them from my "Buy" page... Zazzle will only give me 17% of the sale. Id rather be in full control.

There is also a Zazzle link on the "Links" page.

Check out www.bralystudio.com as well. I am working on that site. Just the front page so far, and the cat pictures are just filler.

Hey, I just heard that Peter Boyle died.

He is known to us as the monster in Young Frankenstien and most recently as Ray's dad on Everybody Loves Raymond...

mmm, fire bad.

Bad week...

Rachel and the boys are all sick with RSV. Noah is especially sick with it. We had to go get him a nebulizer last night. He had tot go back to the doctor today. They almost put him in the hospital last night, but said he was healthy enough to come come and be on regular nebulizations.

Today's my last day of work. I feel like I'm being pushed out of an airplane, but I know God will make me fly.

I also get cut on tomorrow. Fortunately, our insurance is taking care of all this stuff, so that's good.

I'm tired...need prayers. Love y'all.

Sounds to me God is either trying to get you to trust him, or he has different plans that you have.

For one, look at this situation. You need surgery and every member of your family is sick at the same time. I dont look at it as a "test" I look at it as God saying "I know you wont have insurance for a while, lets get all this sickness and crap over with while you still have insurance."

Also, keep in mind that while you only get 2 weeks of severence and 2 weeks of paid vacation, you also will get paid out through the end of December... meaning that youll be getting money as though you are still working through February 1st, only with no insurance. I almost want to THANK God that yall are all sick now, rather than in a few days when you no longer have insurance.

Back to the money thing, God is giving you the financial ability to really research and hit the pavement to find a job. In the grand scheme of life I suppose it is true that you have little time left to find a job, but a month and a half of getting paid to essentially do nothing but job hunt is really pretty cool if you think about it.

I guess what I am trying to say is that God is providing for you. I sense the urgency in your voice (er, your type) and I think it is justified, but at the same time, God is providing you with much pay until the right thing comes along. He may not have a job for you until the day before your pay runs out...

Just trying to place a possitive spin on an otherwise negative situation. let me know if you need a pipe night.

Thanks...

I'm just having a bad week. I trust God and He knows that. I just keep waiting for it to get as bad as it's going to get so that things will start to get better.

I know that sounds silly, but I have been through the fire many times and there always seems to be a boiling point before things cool down again. I think we might be at that point now, which encourages me.

Thanks for your encouragement, too, Jamison. I know it's going to be okay. I must wait on the Lord.

bigsip said...

I keep repeating Isaiah 40:31

Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.

Mat Brewster said...

And hey look at it this way, while you're unemployed you can get a bunch of stuff you were putting off done.

Write another book. Get one published.

bigsip said...

I'm not sure I can settlr my brain enough for that, though.

I'll be in job hunt hyperdrive. But, I'll at least rake the leaves. I'll probably be doing several small home improvement jobs, too. I think we've decided to sell the house no matter what. We could make lots of money and buy another place for near the same size and have a very tiny mortgage.

We shall see...

JS said...

You want to go through the stress of selling a house, buying a new house, and moving into a house all while going through the mental anxiety of job hunting? No fun!

bigsip said...

No, not really. But, I'll drink molten lava if that will help me take care of my family.

Of course, molten lava would kill me, but some stress now probably won't. In any case, I'd suffer many things to get back to the point where my family is stable and our financial/physical needs are evidently taken care of.

Of course, I am not worrying overall. I know my Father is taking care of us. Everything's going to be just fine.

JS said...

This month, make up something that is bothering you and go to the doctor (lots of gas, cant gain weight, mouth sore, etc)... while you are there, ASK FOR A PHYSICAL!, Along with blood tests for EVERYTHING! Insurance will not cover a physical in most cases. You and Rachel both need to do this while youve got insurance.
